Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Programme
The Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Programme is a conditional cash transfer initiative under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), aimed at promoting education among children from low-income families in Pakistan. By providing financial incentives, the programme encourages school enrollment and regular attendance, thereby reducing dropout rates and fostering a culture of education.

- Beneficiary Status: The child’s mother must be a registered beneficiary of the BISP Kafalat Programme.
- Age Requirements:
- Primary Education: 4–12 years
- Secondary Education: 8–18 years
- Higher Secondary Education: 13–22 years
- Enrollment: The child must be enrolled in a government-recognized school.
- Attendance: A minimum attendance of 70% is required for stipend eligibility.
- Documentation: A valid B-Form (Child Registration Certificate) issued by NADRA is necessary.
Stipend Amounts
As of May 2024, the stipend amounts are as follows:
- Primary Education:
- Girls: PKR 2,500 per quarter
- Boys: PKR 2,000 per quarter
- Secondary Education:
- Girls: PKR 3,500 per quarter
- Boys: PKR 3,000 per quarter
- Higher Secondary Education:
- Girls: PKR 4,500 per quarter
- Boys: PKR 4,000 per quarter
Note: A special bonus of PKR 3,000 is awarded to girls who complete primary education, aiming to encourage female education and reduce gender disparities.
Registration Process
- Eligibility Check: Send your CNIC number to 8171 via SMS to check eligibility.
- Online Registration: Visit the official BISP website at https://bisp.gov.pk/ and navigate to the Taleemi Wazaif section to register.
- Required Documents:
- Mother’s CNIC
- Child’s B-Form
- School Admission Slip
- Verification: Submit the required documents at the nearest BISP office or designated enrollment center.
Payment Disbursement
- Quarterly Payments: Stipends are disbursed every three months.
- Payment Methods: Payments are made through designated banks or mobile wallets associated with BISP.
- Verification: Beneficiaries must undergo biometric verification to collect payments.
Important Notes
- School Change: If the child changes schools, a new school admission slip must be submitted to BISP to continue receiving stipends.
